Why we built this

Career advice in Australia has a problem: most of it is designed to sell you something. Recruitment agencies profit from placements. Course directories earn referral fees. Career coaches charge hundreds of dollars per hour for advice that's often generic.

We built SkillVector because we'd seen how much time people waste on the wrong advice — and how quickly things move when someone gives them an honest, specific picture of where they stand and what to do next.

Who we are

SkillVector is built by Clear Stride Consulting, based in Brisbane. We have a background in Australian recruitment and career strategy — which means we understand how hiring decisions actually get made, what ATS systems actually screen for, and what the difference is between a good résumé and one that gets read.

We use AI to do the heavy analytical work at scale. The methodology and the quality bar are ours.

How it works

You upload your résumé and tell us the role you're targeting. We compare your skills against live Australian vacancy data and produce a scored gap matrix showing exactly where you're strong, where you're exposed, and what to do about it. The whole process takes under 60 seconds:

Our one rule

We don't earn referral fees from any course provider, university, or employer. Every recommendation in your report is there because it's relevant to your gaps — not because someone paid us to put it there.

If we ever run sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled. That's not a policy we're planning to change.
